| Rachael Ray's FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS |
| When your friends cook for you, are they nervous? |
| I guess so, 'cause no one ever invites me over! |
| I'm throwing a 13th birthday party for my son. Do
you have any awesome tips about the food? I want his friends
to leave saying how cool it was. |
| It depends on what he likes. If he's into baseball, make
hot dogs and popcorn--or if he likes football, do a tailgate
party in your driveway. If he's into music, serve the food
on old vinyl records and do karaoke. And mocktails and pizza
are always fun! |
| My family teases me because I drink orange juice with
everything. Do you have a quirky food fetish? |
| I eat a ton of almonds, and I can never say no to
cheese. And if there's an anchovy nearby, it doesn't have a
chance! |
| I love to wear high heels, but feel like I have to
consider my husband, who's only two inches taller than I am.
How can I look cute without worrying I'll tower over him? |
| My husband, John, and I are about the same height, and
when I wear heels I'm slightly taller than he is. I'm sure
your husband is a confident enough man to walk next to you.
And I'm sure he likes the look of your legs in those heels! |
| What were your top five '80s songs? |
| Most of my favorite songs that I listened to in the '80s
were made in the '70s. I liked "Train in Vain," by The
Clash; "Brass in Pocket," by The Pretenders; "Landslide," by
Fleetwood Mac; Elvis Costello's "(What's So Funny 'Bout)
Peace, Love & Understanding?"; and U2's "Where the Streets
Have No Name." |
| I want to move to New York City one day. What advice can
you give to someone who wants to live there? |
| Make sure you have a job here before you move. Visit
often and get to know the neighborhoods first--build up your
street smarts! |
| Do you decide in advance what you're going to wear or do
you just put on whatever feels great that day? How do you
plan your wardrobe? |
| When I find something that fits and feels good, I
buy it in every color! |
| Has Italian culture shaped the way you cook? |
| A great deal, since I learned how to cook primarily from
Italians. I'm a very emotional cook! |
| You're always so upbeat and positive. What's your source
of inspiration, in addition to your husband and family? |
| There is nothing in life that isn't inspiring to me: my
dog, a great meal, a beautiful view ... |
| I'm always looking for new lunch ideas. What was
your favorite brown-bag lunch as a kid? |
| Anything left over from last night's dinner between two
pieces of bread. |
